VeriPlan is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Who We Are

VeriPlan ("we", "us", "our") operates the AI-powered pre-compliance review platform at veriplan.vercel.app, based in Davao City, Philippines. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the VeriPlan platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect:

Full name
Email address
Password (stored in encrypted form; we never store your plain-text password)
PRC license number (for Architect / Engineer accounts on paid tiers)
Firm or company name (optional)
Account type (Architect / Engineer or Developer / Property Owner)

2.2 Project and Submission Data

When you submit plans for review, we collect:

Project name and address
Project data entered in the intake form (lot area, zone, occupancy type, floor count, RROW, etc.)
Uploaded PDF plan set files (see Section 3 for retention rules by tier)
Generated compliance reports

2.3 Usage Data

We may automatically collect limited technical information when you use the Service, including:

Browser type and version
Device type
Pages visited and time spent on the platform
Submission timestamps

We do not use this data to identify you personally. It is used solely for platform performance and security monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To create and manage your account
To process your plan set and generate your compliance report
To maintain your submission history and revision tracking (Professional and Developer tiers only)
To send you account-related communications, including report delivery notifications and subscription updates
To respond to your inquiries and support requests
To improve the accuracy, performance, and reliability of the VeriPlan platform
To comply with applicable Philippine laws and regulations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention by Tier

VeriPlan's data retention practices differ by subscription tier:

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. For Professional and Developer tier subscribers, plan files and reports are stored using encrypted cloud storage.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Free-tier abuse prevention: VeriPlan also retains a one-way, irreversible cryptographic hash of your email address solely to prevent repeated abuse of the free tier (for example, deleting an account and re-registering with the same email to obtain additional free reports). This hash cannot be reversed, is not linked to any other personal data, and cannot be used to identify or contact you. It is retained even after account deletion for this anti-abuse purpose only.

6. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

VeriPlan uses the Anthropic Claude API to process uploaded plan sets and generate compliance reports. By uploading your plan set, you consent to your content being transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing.

Anthropic's data handling is governed by Anthropic's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, available at anthropic.com
VeriPlan does not authorize Anthropic to use your uploaded content for AI model training purposes beyond what is permitted under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms
No plan set content is shared with any other third party except as necessary for payment processing on paid tiers

7. Cookies and Tracking

VeriPlan uses only essential cookies necessary for the platform to function — including session cookies for login authentication. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools that share your data with advertisers.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Philippine law (Republic Act No. 10173 — Data Privacy Act of 2012), you have the right to:

Be informed about how your personal data is collected and processed
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate personal data
Request erasure of your personal data, subject to our legal obligations
Object to the processing of your personal data
Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a structured format

9. Children's Privacy

VeriPlan is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at teressasuringa@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
